Printed Design
A lot of my work before starting as a full-time developer was the creation of digital images to be printed. These incorporated both my hand-drawn artwork and my layout design in Photoshop, a marriage which I find to be a highly effective and flexible method.

A strangely creepy rendition of American Gothic with climbers. This acted as the poster and the painting (in a much more limited palette) served as the shirt.

While working at Climb Iowa, I was given the opportunity and freedom to create original and interesting posters advertising our annual competitions. These allow me to utilize my knowledge of the human body to create original ink drawings, which I then scan and use my sense of design to present a cohesive and, hopefully, effective advertisement.
