Artwork
Ever since I have been drawing and painting, I have been drawn to the works of the surrealists. Magritte most of all, but also Ernst and Tanguy have always intrigued me both aesthetically and philosophically, a visual puzzle which is unique to the style. That being said, here is a quick list of some recent artwork with a brief statement about each work. I have some new work that I haven't had a chance to photograph, so hopefully that'll be up soon.
Intaglio 1
One of two Intaglio pieces dealing with the human tendency to appropriate elements from nature and repurpose them to fit our needs in order to insulate ourselves from the very same natural environment. I took these elements and reinserted them back to their original settings to illustrate how silly a human's version of the natural world really is.

Tree
A tattoo design for a friend, this is an ink drawing of a bristle cone pine tree, the oldest living organism on the planet.
Pipe Painting
A semi-surreal still life of objects often utilized by the original surrealists. Mostly I wanted the challenge of painting a glass, as I've always viewed that as an interesting visual element of distortion.
Wild Things Pumpkin
Every Halloween I try to do an interesting pumpkin, this year I stepped back in to childhood and rendered a wild thing.
